However, it mainly provides US related legal information.

Lawguru  allows users to post questions which are answered by lawyers and attorneys free. They claim to have a network of  more than 5,000 attorneys worldwide . A user can also search their database of  100,000 legal questions and answers.  A list of  attorneys who provide free legal advice for the the maximum number of users is available on the home page. The lawyers benefit, since a user to whom they have provide free advice, may use their paid services at a later date.

In the US, lawyers are expected to provide free legal advice for a certain number of hours every year as pro bono publico.  Free legal advice is available to persons  who are charged with a crime which could lead to imprisonment and who cannot afford a lawyer. However, for civil cases, free legal aid is not available, but there are mainly aid agencies that help people with an income less than 125 percent of  the federal poverty level.
